Sita UV Rack 80 2 System
SITA UV RACK 80/2 System
The SITA UV LCD Rack 80/2 system is particularly suitable for disinfecting the larger (drinking) water streams. The two strong 80 watt UV lamps of this Sita UV Rack 80/2 system guarantee a dose of 300 J/m2 guarantee at 200 liters/min (T=99, 1cm).
The Sita Rack 80/2 system is available with LCD and LCD plus control module. The SITA UV systems are completely made of stainless steel and are characterized by very high quality and long life.
Sita UV LCD and LCD Plus
These units are supplied in LCD or LCD plus versions. The standard LCD unit has a burn time counter, an alarm LED and two alarm relays for switching a valve or external alarm display. The LCD plus unit also features a UV detector and a count down timer. You will be notified if the lamp needs to be replaced. The UV detector measures the UV dose and can switch a solenoid valve if the dose gets too low to keep your drinking water system clean. These solenoid valves are available separately from us.

What does the T-value mean?
This means the “Transmission Value” or clarity of the water. It is indicated in this case as 99% at 1 cm from the lamp. If the water is less clear, the UV dose will be lower.
For example, tap water is around 85-90%. Water from a water tank can be as low as 70%.
What can I do when I have a lower transmission value?
You could treat the water yourself with a carbon filter, for example. It is also possible to take a heavier UV system.
The lamp still works after 9000 hours. Should I change it?
Yes! The lamp will still emit blue light however, over time its frequency will become too low for proper disinfection.
Do I need to clean the quartz tube?
The quartz tube is the barrier between the water and the UV lamp. The cleaner it is, the better it allows the UV light to pass through.
We recommend cleaning this quartz tube when changing lamps. You can do this by soaking it in citric acid and then rubbing it with medicated alcohol.
Also inspect the condition of the O-ring and replace it if necessary.
How long does the quartz tube last?
Sita recommends replacing the quartz tube every 5 years for optimal disinfection.
