Sita UV 450 System
SITA UV 450 System
This UV system is equipped with two reactors, each with a 40 watt UV lamp. This provides extra security, as well as better operation when the incoming water is somewhat less clear. This is because the chance of a bacterium, virus or fungus hitting the quartz tube directly becomes more than twice as great. The Sita UV 450 system can generate a dose of 300 J/m2 at 75 liters/min (T=99, 1cm).
The SITA UV 450 system comes with LCD control module. The SITA UV systems are completely made of stainless steel and are characterized by high quality and long life.
SITA UV LCD
These units are supplied in LCD version. The luxurious LCD unit has a burn time counter, an alarm LED and two alarm relays for switching a valve or external display of the alarm.

What does the T-value mean?
This means the “Transmission Value” or clarity of the water. It is indicated in this case as 99% at 1 cm from the lamp. If the water is less clear, the UV dose will be lower.
For example, tap water is around 85-90%. Water from a water tank can be as low as 70%.
What can I do when I have a lower transmission value?
You could treat the water yourself with a carbon filter, for example. It is also possible to take a heavier UV system.
The lamp still works after 9000 hours. Should I change it?
Yes! The lamp will still emit blue light however, over time its frequency will become too low for proper disinfection.
Do I need to clean the quartz tube?
The quartz tube is the barrier between the water and the UV lamp. The cleaner it is, the better it allows the UV light to pass through.
We recommend cleaning this quartz tube when changing lamps. You can do this by soaking it in citric acid and then rubbing it with medicated alcohol.
Also inspect the condition of the O-ring and replace it if necessary.
How long does the quartz tube last?
Sita recommends replacing the quartz tube every 5 years for optimal disinfection.
