How long does a Toilet Tape last?
How long a Toilet Tape lasts depends on the use of the toilet, type of toilet, water hardness, temperature, etc. The number of flushes depends on the amount of flushing water used. With an average amount of water and a standard toilet, the number of flushes is at least 160, which in an average household is 2 to 3 weeks.
Can I use the Toilet Tape in any toilet?
Yes, Toilet Tapes fit any toilet. So does a rimless toilet. You attach the Toilet Tapes to the back of the toilet where the water flows into the toilet. With each flush, the water flows past the Toilet Tape cup, giving you foam and odor in your toilet bowl.
Can Toilet Tape be used if I have a septic tank?
Toilet Tapes continues to advance its products, including for use in a septic tank. Practical tests have shown that due to the enormous “dilution” the effect on the living organisms in the septic tank is nil. Therefore, Toilet Tapes can be used perfectly well in toilets that drain into a septic tank.
Why does the packaging state that the product is “harmful to aquatic organisms with long-term effects”?
Toilet Tapes has noted on its packaging the legally required ingredient declaration as mandated by the European Detergents Regulation. This regulates that all surfactants (soaps) from detergents and cleaning products that enter surface water must be biodegradable.
By law, they must state on the packaging that certain ingredients are DANGEROUS FOR ORGANISMS LIVING IN WATER, WITH LONG-lasting EFFECTS. To be clear, this has nothing to do with being biodegradable! It is therefore very important to add some nuance to this mandatory notification. This is n.l. determined on the basis of the pure product. These toilet blocks are economical to use but do their job (more than 160 flushes with 18 grams with cleaning and permanent odor release). Thereby, with each flush, a minimal amount of active substances is introduced into the wastewater stream, about 0.1 grams. An average flush contains about 6 liters of water. This means that the load per flush is 0.017 grams of total product per liter of water. Therefore, in the whole consideration, the concentration is very decisive and the environmental impact is far below that of the standard toilet block or other cleaning products. With a Toilet Tapes you bring a very minimal amount of biodegradable substance into the waste stream where the effect of harmfulness is no longer relevant.
Is the packaging of Toilet Tape also recyclable?
Yes, the packaging is recyclable.
You receive 1 block, sustainably packaged in FSC cardboard.
To protect the products from damage, we use packing paper as padding in our packages -if necessary. The packing paper is made of 100% recycled paper.
Will you help with recycling? You can recycle the packaging with the old paper and plastic so that it can be reused.
How do I use Toilet Tapes?
Toilet Tapes are very easy to use. Because of the unique hygienic adhesive strip you attach Toilet Tapes in your toilet.
Whether you have a regular toilet, a toilet with a high rim or a rimless toilet, Toilet Tapes will always fit!
- Pull the strip off the cardboard and lower the cup along the inside to about 5-8 inches into the toilet.
- Then tape the strip in place and you’re ready to flush

The adhesive layer on the Toilet Tapes is specifically designed for toilet bowl surfaces, so they won’t leave streaks or marks on the rim of your toilet.
